Baked Cheesecake and Mango Tart, Physalis
Two desserts from the same section: a plain baked cheesecake and a sharp tropical tart, with physalis for acid.

A dessert section needs one thing that is plain and one that is sharp. The cheesecake is deliberately unadorned, which means it has nowhere to hide: the bake and the cut are the entire dish.
The tart is the opposite, built on acid so it can follow a heavy main without stopping the meal dead.
